Mannn, when I ask people what part of the island they’re from because they code as at least half Black to me you should see the look on they faces when I tell ‘em they’re probably descendents of the Negritos… like, you’d think I just punched their mom in the face or something… Va beach/the 7 cities has a very, very high Filipino population and a lot of them hate acknowledging this part of their ancestry :/ (at least that I’ve talked to)

I can recall hella filipinas in hawaii w hair that was visibly coarse and nappy and forced into a semblance of straight.
