Police in New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and San Francisco are confiscating condoms from sex workers and transgender women, undermining health department campaigns to reduce HIV.
Don’t take away people’s condoms!

We’ll have more on that soon - particularly interesting is the fact that it goes against years of successful public health initiatives when it comes to HIV/AIDS harm reduction.

just another way they killing people.

Not to mention condoms found on people, particularly trans people, are frequently used in court by the NYPD as evidence of sex work, making it more likely that people will not use or carry protection when they need it.

That is just fucking horrible.  What legal grounds do they have to do that? They are causing a public health risk and taking away someone’s personal property - condoms have a monetary value) someone should sue the police department.  That is harassment!
