  • that uncomfortable ass moment when you realize your aquaintances significant other is eyeing you in a more-than-friends kinda way, and talking about how cute your quirks are, and you notice your friend starting to tense up because they too have caught on,

and youve barely ever even looked at the guys face, much less gave him any leeway, but you cant escape the feeling of guilt and shame coz the last thing you want is her feelings hurt and its not the first time youve been in that situation (hint: you always end up blamed).

  • its so strange, people in this fields reaction to me.

its either disgust and brushing off my entire person, asking who the fuck i am do be doing what i do,

or theyre so utterly impressed and taken aback and eager to help me along?

this guy whos like one of the best at his specialty and his wife are dying to take me under their wing and pushing me to be bolder, offering to be on call for any issues i may have, after seeing just what ive done on myself.

    same thing elsewhere.

its either awe or im a threat or lowlife.

    no inbetweens thus far. :/

Do you know children who’ve been taken by the Department of Social Services?
Do you know your rights under the Indian Child Welfare Act?
Are your kids living with non-Indian foster parents?

Please come to learn your rights under ICWA & share your story if you feel you’ve been wronged

This summit is hosted by the BIA in conjunction with Lakota/Dakota Elected Tribal Leaders from the 9 Reservations in South Dakota, various congressional reps, former Sen. Jim Abourezk (a primary ICWA author), Asst. Sec. Of Indian Affairs. 100s of our people will convene at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel for 3 days of learning. • Hi bad-dominicana! We need YOUR help to get as many people to the ICWA Summit next week! Even if you cannot attend, we ask if you could please share this with as many people as possible as to get our audience to its full potential. The post I’ve put up on MAY 9 has a link to the Facebook event that gives us a rough estimate of the amount of attendees. Please help increase this number so we can go to the Summit ready to make a difference and TO BRING OUR CHILDREN HOME. Palamaya. – LPLP

  • Hi! I saw your last question about your yarn braids (this guy /post/50025331336) and i was wondering if they make you warm? I'm incredibly sensitive to the heat and I don't really want to be ripping my roommate's head off this summer in our non-air conditioned apartment.
    venezaubord

i rarely get too warm and they def have been getting on my nerves in that sense. :/ i guess it makes sense, i mean, its two big ass spools of yarn on my head, in addition to my own thick ass mid-back length hair lmao

thats the only reason they may not make it thru the summer. its badass fall/winter/spring hair tho.

  • Hi hi! I love your yarn braids and I'm thinking about getting them because I'll be in a really dry state this summer and I don't want to deal with my hair. I'm mostly wondering what they look and feel like at your scalp. I hate seeing the parts in between each braid. Plus, yours are super thick, how'd you get them that way?
    simplyjojoo

thanks. it feels fine. as for the parts, you can barely see em on me, coz i strategically placed a braid above the part of every braid.  basically i arranged them kinda like how you lay out bricks (i dunno how else to explain). also, theyre thicker because theyre yarn locs. which means after i braided my hair w yarn, i wrapped each braid in more yarn. takes twice the time as braids tho. but its worth it coz it covers up all your own hair so the only thing growing out is your roots. theres no fuzzy ends sticking up and shit.
